I have four kids and a mom in my household, yet I feel alone sometimes. Not physically and literally alone but alone in the decision-making, care, juggling, hustle, chaos-coordinating, and general survival. Some people feel alone in their grief, sorrow, shame. Some people feel alone in their singleness.

Christmastime can make us feel especially alone, even when we’re surrounded.

If you’re feeling alone this Christmas season, here are some verses to remind you and me that we are never alone because of Immanuel…God with us.

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God with us’).” Matthew 1:23

“Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” Isaiah 41:10
